Politics

Many renaissance philosophers impacted the way we define our views on politics. Machiavelli's most well-known piece of writing called, "The Prince" is notorious for discussing the idea that if you do gain power, you must be willing to do anything to remain in charge. And politics still practice this today by manipulating and lying to large masses to cloud their judgement and hold onto the authority they have.

  1. You make a very good point and I agree completely. Dictatorships and even this thing we call democracy is based off of lies and manipulation. Very good job

  2. I agree with you; Manipulation has been used in order to get what they want all the time, and it shouldn't be that way. Even though we know that they lie and use manipulation, people still don't do anything.

  3. life itself is based off of manipulation people see that it is easier to trick the mind of the people to get what they want rather than be upfront and be honest. there is a part of the lesson that tells about how there is a prince who was told to be like a lion and a fox be strong and the king at one point then other times u need to be sneaky and sly like the fox and it shows the mind of man even way back then.....anyway women from back then and now (cough cough) use manipulation to get what they want.
