This Magazine cover depicts Beyonce and on the side it shows ways to loose weight. This day in age, people worship their bodies and dieting. Perfection is importaint to American society and if you arent perfect you stand out. Perfect to us as Americans means to have a slim body with big assets and and a beautiful face. Make-up has become apart of the daily life for women and even some men to make themselves look better. This just comes to show that people are very concerned with how they look and how other people see them.
During the Renaissance, a plump, curvy body was desired because it indicated wealth. That idea of beauty is much more healthier than today's goal to be skinny and "perfect".
